WHAT NEXT FOR INDIA WOMEN CRICKET

 

As India women team were knocked out of the world cup with a close encounter against SA, it was end of an era of India women cricket. The two veteran of India women cricket Mithali Raj and Julian Goshwami. The two legeng star being played for two decades or more, it was bit of an emotional end their carriers, with a thriller match going till the last ball. For India it has been a heart break in back to back two world cup 2017 final and now against SA.

The world cup is over, the duo being being announced retire now the question arise, what next for India women cricket? The question is vital and it’s the right question at his moment. As we now look at future and have to build good structure, a new captain, a new mindset has to build for the future generation, etc. The appointment of skipper is not much impotent as we the players in like of Harpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana properly from this two. we may the leader .The question is have we can build the infrastructure for women, how we can get exciting talent for the grassroots, the fitness bar  how it can be raise etc.

If talking about the infrastructure work the need is to be look around is the domestic circuit .The Bcci has to come with a good solid structure for domestic and local tournament in India. If we have a ranji trophy or even the other tournament for men than why not for women. We should come with an ODI tournament state wise or district wise and so on. as it can get the future stars from grassroots if particular tournaments are held. Why not a zonal wise tournaments, as we have for men. A good and well organized facilities in NCA for the women.

As BCCI as announced the woman ipl to held from next year but it alone cannot develop the women cricket in India. The root is always the domestic that develops and build the players for future, because from the domestic or the local or grassroots we will get the players for the franchise league. As WIPL can give the exposure for playing international cricket but it’s the domestic circuit where young and talented players are made. As there is a lot of things to be done, and we expect that bcci will come up with something to develop our women cricket and with we all hope that one day India Women will be a world champion.
